Fun, music and movement for little movers and shakers

Julie Durdin

Bertie Bear!My name is Julie Durdin and I run Pre-School Music classes in Thorpe St Andrew.

I first attended Presma with my two boys, Alex and William. They enjoyed it immensely and soon gained a confidence to sing out loud, something they now both ably demonstrate during music sessions at their primary school. They were my inspiration to become a Presma teacher.

I can't read music (it's on my "to do" list) and I don't play an instrument (it's on my "probably never will do" list) but I love to sing and I wanted to do something with younger children that would be both fun and fulfilling. Presma offers both.

I derive a great deal of pleasure from watching a previously shy child start to join in with the rest of the class, as well as from the more outgoing child who can have his or her chance to shine. And I love it when the children and their parent/carer share a moment of "togetherness" during the session. This to me is what Presma is all about. Time together, enjoying the ability to express oneself through both voice and body.Julie Durdin
