I'm Clare and I started a Presma class in Lowestoft at Gunton Baptist Church on Hollingsworth Road (near the A12) in the Autumn of 2006.
I had a great time on the mentoring scheme with Hayley McBride, whose skill as a practitioner is inspiring and whose warm friendly style is really encouraging.
To introduce myself, I used to be a musician when I lived in Manchester, serving my apprenticeship writing songs, playing in bands and leading music workshops while working as a secretary. After some years of that I did a degree in Popular Music at Salford University, followed by a couple of years struggling to make a living as a composer/performer. Shortly after that I had my first child and did a PGCE to teach over 16s. From there I came to Lowestoft to teach Popular Music at Lowestoft College, and had my second child. When the department closed in 2005 I decided to work for myself as a composer, workshop leader and instrumental teacher. I soon realised there was a huge demand for pre-school music workshops so I decided to sign up for pre-school music training and here I am!
Look forward to meeting you all!
