My name is Angela and I run PRESMA sessions in and around the Gorleston area. I started learning music formally at age seven when I had free violin lessons at school. I then joined the school choir where we enjoyed national success. I left music behind for a while when I trained and worked as a nurse but I quickly returned to my roots and took up flute and piano as an adult learner.
I first heard of PRESMA when my piano teacher recommended that I take my (then baby) daughter to sessions in Lowestoft. I was amazed to see how infants can rapidly develop language, concentration and musical awareness and ability in such a short amount of time. I was hooked! I left my nursing career behind, sat a music theory exam and trained to become a PRESMA teacher.
That was last year. I now have the privilege to pass on musical concepts to some very young people which hopefully will give them a jump start not just in exciting them to pursue a musical life, but to learn the fundamental skills that we all need to have a happy and fulfilling life.
