REDUCED FEE SYSTEM
What Is It And How Easy Is It To Apply, Really?
If you are struggling to find your class fees or annual subscription,
or both……”Ask Yvonne”.
That’s really how easy it can be.
If you are in receipt of Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Working
Tax Credit you may qualify for an assisted place for your child/children
to attend Pre-School Music classes.
The amount that we will reduce your fees by is directly affected by your
income and the number of children you have. That doesn’t mean the
number of children you have attending PRESMA classes, but the number of
children in your family.
If you are receiving Income support or Job Seekers allowance you will
qualify for a 75% reduction in your class fees and annual subscription:
ie. Your annual subscription would be £2.50 instead of £10.
If your income is below £15000 a year and you have one or more children we will pay for 75% of your class fees.
If your annual income is between £15100 and £17000 and you have just one child we will contribute 50%, but if you have 2 or more children, this increases to 75%.
If your income each year is between £17501and £20000 you
may still be entitled to help, but this time it would be 25% for a single
child family, 50% for 2 children and 75% for a family with 3 or more children.
To make a claim you have to show us a copy of either your benefit award
notice (form TC602) or other relevant paperwork such as your latest income
support letter showing your home address. Send it to the PRESMA office
(address on back cover of newsletter) marked “Private and Confidential”,
for the attention of Yvonne Bell, Treasurer, or if you would rather, take
it in person.
The Treasurer will assess your claim and will inform you if your application
has been successful.
We require proof of your need for assistance at the start of each September
(for our own accounting purposes) or when your form TC602 expires and
we would expect you to notify us of any changes in your circumstances
as soon as possible.
