Associate Membership

Associate membership is open to anyone, but aimed specifically at pre-school music teachers, early years providers and carers and other people interested in music and its effect on children of pre-school age.

For just £25 a year you can join the national register of teachers thereby connecting you to like-minded people. Registration provides an Associate Members Forum with interesting information and articles and details about PRESMA training and seminars plus other events, both local and national.

Registration Policy

- Application is open to anyone
- The Associate Member Subscription charge for each year is agreed by the trustees at the Annual General Meeting for implementation the following 1st August.
- Potential members complete an application form and send a cheque and/or Standing Order form to the PRESMA office
- The application form will note the requirement of keeping information under the Data Protection Law
- The Associate Membership Secretary with support from the Office Administrator, will send the new Associate Member a welcome pack folder including the most recent Assoc.
Member Newssheet, PRESMA Newsletter, receipt and Membership Card.
- The Treasurer banks the money and arranges the Standing Orders. He/she provides the Associate Membership Secretary with a list of Members paying by SO in July of each year.
- Assoc Members receive 3 mailings a year including a copy of the PRESMA newsletter, details of PRESMA training days and events and any other items of interest. They may receive interim mailings for specific events etc. And all information will be published on the Associate Members Forum on the website.
- They may contact the Associate Membership Secretary at the office at specific times for advice and information
- They can expect 3 training days and up to 3 seminars a year
- Renewals for subscriptions will be mailed out in the Summer term
- Reminders for renewals will be mailed out in the Autumn term
- The Associate Membership Secretary will provide the Treasurer with a list of contact details for unpaid subscriptions for the Treasurer to follow up in January*
- The Treasurer will notify the Associate Membership Secretary of the outcome of the follow up prior to the Spring Term mailing(s)*
- Renewals are acknowledged with a receipt and a new annual Assoc Membership Card showing the Assoc Members membership number and (on the back) issue number
- The Associate Membership Secretary will keep an up to date list of all Associate Members
